Christian Louboutin (yes, the man associated with shoes) has again launched a new set of cosmetics. In fact, this collection is fairly impressive. What has this famous shoe designer done this time? Well, he created an appreciable set of lipsticks. Reportedly, he was inspired by art deco style, Nefretete’s jewellery and, naturally, by his shoes. Therefore, the collection is characterized by a cosmetics of oblong shape, resembling pendants or icicles, that are decorated with something which is similar to snake’s scales.

Christian Louboutin’s collection contains 38 various shadows. Quite a wide range of colours, isn’t it? The greater part of the lipsticks are closed in a golden packages. But there are also colourful cosmetics that are sold in black packages. It is easy to guess, that when it comes to the black packages, Louboutin was inspired by his own high-heels. And for that reason, we should not be surprised when we see only red-shaded lipsticks in these black packages. As a consequence, his shoes and the cosmetics look alike: black leather – black package and red sole – red lipstick. The upper part of the lipstick packages has a kind of a loop through which you can put a silver or gold chain. Thanks to this, the cosmetic transforms into a jewellery. This idea is fairly intriguing yet it is not new. We already know small lip glosses that can be hung on a neck.

Furthermore, in Christian Louboutin collection we can find lipsticks of three different textures such as satiny, glossy and matte. The first one is named Silky Satin, the second one Sheer Voile and the third Velvet Matte. However, the most outstanding and probably the most popular one is the above-mentioned Rouge Louboutin.
